This collection contains correspondence, diaries, record books, manuscript drafts, photographs, and scrapbooks. The bulk of the papers are dedicated to the Character Research Project founded by Ligon. There is also extensive correspondence between Ligon and Eli Lilly, who supported his research.

Joseph Warren Hays Papers
The collection includes a complete set of letters written by Joseph Warren Hays to his family while serving in the Army Air Corps during World War II. The letters detail his aviation training across the United States and his service in Europe toward the end of the war. In his later years, Mr. Hays wrote recollections of his missions over Europe. The collection also includes printed publications, newspaper clippings, a scrapbook, a photograph of Hays, and ephemera.

Love Family Letters
Correspondence (87 letters and fragments) and a Dallas Morning News article. Letters are arranged chronologically, individually enclosed and then organized into folders by decade. The folders lay flat in an oversized box.
The correspondence deals primarily with the daily life of soldiers, troop movements and battles fought. Requests are often made for news from home. The newspaper article gives a detailed description of the assassination of Robert Love.
Mamie Douthit Crane Correspondence
The collection is one folder of notes received from classmates. The notes are often invitations to social or religious events. They depict the active social life of a young college student at AddRan College in Thorp Spring in the late 1880s.

Records of The Bryson Club
Organizational records, correspondence, memorabilia, and photographs document the Bryson Club between 1923 and 1995. The records reflect the club's original filing organization, with the exception of loose material. The papers document the membership and activities of the club, and the Bryson scholarship recipients. No literary works from members are included in the collection.

Series I. includes video and audio recordings from various concerts. Series II. Includes ephemera, correspondence, class material, newspaper clippings, programs, photographs, and other assorted material There are quite a few programs from TCU concerts and programs from non TCU venues.
