Audiovisual language programs, scripts, correspondence, business files, research material, books, and artifacts document the life and work of English as a Second Language educator Edwin T. Cornelius from 1940-2012. Cornelius was a TCU grad and linguist who developed and wrote numerous ESL courses for Greek, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese audiences.
This collection contains correspondence, diaries, record books, manuscript drafts, photographs, and scrapbooks. The bulk of the papers are dedicated to the Character Research Project founded by Ligon. There is also extensive correspondence between Ligon and Eli Lilly, who supported his research.
The papers include correspondence, student records and recitals, performance programs, and news clippings.
The collection includes postcards of Texas courthouses. Some are actual photo postcards and others are artist renderings. Most are blank but a small number are written and addressed to Mr. Ben Hearne. Two are addressed to Rebecca W. Smith.
Photo albums, clippings about TCU football and other topics, correspondence, plaques and certificates related to the life and career of Melvin Diggs, a TCU football player who went on to become an attorney.
The collection contains one news clipping, photographs of various stage productions and individual actors, individual and bound volumes of programs from the Fort Worth Little Theatre from 1925-1942.
The collection includes writings and published works of Tony Clark including articles, notes, poems, short stories and plays. Also included are school papers, exams, news clipping, photographs, illustrations, publicity, and videotapes.
