Correspondence, course material, office files, photographs, and writings document the life and career of TCU English professor Cecil Williams, between 1925 and 1972. The bulk of the material covers the years 1939-1959. The writings make up the majority of the collection and include drafts of stories and articles published by Williams.

Most of the papers document his career before arriving at Texas Christian University.
