This collection contains correspondence, diaries, record books, manuscript drafts, photographs, and scrapbooks. The bulk of the papers are dedicated to the Character Research Project founded by Ligon. There is also extensive correspondence between Ligon and Eli Lilly, who supported his research.

Scope and Contents
Diaries, notes, and records document the life and ministry of Robert Cannon Horn from
1868-1935. The first series includes the diaries of Mr. Horn from 1868-1935. These are
mostly day-to-day accounts of his farming and ministry and provide information
regarding marriage, funerals, cattle acquisition and breeding records. The diaries describe
events in Lebanon and Hartsville, Tennessee and McKinney and Vineland, Texas. The
