Van Cliburn Foundation Publications and Clippings Files 1958 – 2001
Scope and Contents
The publications and clippings collection primarily arose from Cliburn Foundation scrapbooks plus accumulated output from a clippings service retained by the Foundation through 2001. Because the materials are housed in closed stacks, inquirers will need to work with Archive staff to access materials relevant to a research project. Staff may login to the ArchivesSpace finding aid system to see more detail. Persons in the TCU community may also wish to access library databases such as the Fort Worth Star-Telegram databases, Dallas Morning News and New York Times historical databases, plus Proquest Historical Newspapers, which contains, among other titles, the Washington Post. In the case of the Star-Telegram database, not all editions published in earlier decades are included; as of 2022 it appears that only morning editions are accessible; evening editions and special editions for earlier decades to not seem to be present.
