Correspondence, subject files, and speeches document James M. Moudy's administrative career at Texas Christian University. The first series, Subject files, 1948-1980, includes subject files and correspondence documenting Dr. Moudy‟s time as an administrator at TCU. The second series contains speeches delivered by Moudy, arranged chronologically. The final accession relates to the planning and construction of several buildings on campus including the Moudy building, School of Fine Arts, Starpoint School, and a library expansion.

The records consist of correspondence, subject files, and drafts of speeches documenting James M. Moudy's administrative career at Texas Christian University. Dr. James M. Moudy (1916-2004) served as chancellor of TCU from 1965-1979. He held several positions during his long career at TCU, including dean of the graduate school, vice chancellor for academic affairs, and executive vice chancellor. Campus expansion and the advancement of graduate education highlighted Dr. Moudy's tenure as chancellor (1965-1979).
