Biographical / Historical

Denton Ray Lindley was born in 1905. He earned degrees from Phillips University (B.A., 1926), TCU (B.D., 1929) and Yale University (B.D., 1941; M.A., 1943; Ph.D., 1946). Lindley served as TCU's vice president from 1953 to 1958, as executive vice president from 1958 to 1959, and as president from 1959 to 1962. He died in 1987.
