Biographical / Historical

Dr. Glenn Routt was born on November 8th, 1918 in Emmett, Idaho. Routt received a Bachelor of Arts at Transylvania University, a Masters of Divinity at Lexington Theological Seminary, a Master's of Sacred Theology from Union Theological Seminary, and did doctoral studies at Columbia University. He taught at Texas Christian University starting in 1948 and is credited with teaching theology to more Christian Church ministers than anyone else in the history of the denomination. During his time at TCU he received the Chancellor's Award for distinguished teaching and also served on multiple boards and in many academic organizations. He died on November 11th, 2012.
