TCU’s Office of Extended Education engages “…TCU with the community through high quality courses, programs, conferences and other offerings that educate, enlighten, renew and serve.” We accomplish our mission through the implementation of four strategies:
1. Promote personal enrichment for individuals of all ages 2. Design and provide training for specific professions 3. Increase access to TCU learning resources 4. Create and enhance community connections to TCU
In 2019 we enrolled over 20,000 people in summer camps, learning in retirement, community continuing education, and professional education classes and programs. These range from one of the largest Advanced Placement Summer Institutes in the country, to the wildly popular Silver Frogs lifelong learning community, to a wide variety of summer camps covering fascinating subjects for youth and children. In addition we support TCU schools such as music, fine arts, and communication in designing and managing their own continuing education programs.
