Biographical Sketch
Ronald B. Flowers was born on January 11, 1935, in Tulsa,
Oklahoma. Dr. Flowers taught in the department of
Religion-Studies at Texas Christian University from 1966 to
2003. He received many awards during his career, including
the Chancellor’s Award for Distinguished Teaching in 1998.
His research and writing specialized in church-state
relationships and his books include Religion in Strange
Times, That Godless Court?, and To Defend the
Constitution.
