Identifier: MS 166

Scope and Contents

The World War I Poster Collection consists of 19 posters, a sampling of the approximately 1,400 war propaganda posters produced by the Committee on Public Information (CPI) starting in 1914. The posters promote a patriotic duty to join the armed forces, purchase Liberty Bonds and stamps, conserve food, and promote citizenship.
