Biographical / Historical

Mrs. Dura Brakow Cockrell was the head of the TCU Art Department from 1899-1924. She was married to E.R. Cockrell, who was an alum of TCU, Professor of Government from 1899-1921, and later served as the dean of TCU's College of Law as well as Mayor of Fort Worth.


The collection is arranged alphabetically by subject.

The E.R.Cockrell papers were donated by Mr. Alfred Jones in July, 2009. Dura B. Cockrell's provenance is unknown.
