James Standifer Papers
Summary
The papers mostly consist of his instruction in both physical education, safety in schools, and driver’s education from 1957 through 1978. These are correspondence, curriculum, student records, and speeches and lectures given on these subjects. He also has records from working with the Texas Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association and the Texas Safety Association. The papers are divided into three series: Driver’s Education, Physical Education, and Subject Files.

Biographical Sketch
James Standifer was a hired by Texas Christian University in 1957. He was an instructor in Safety, Physical Education, and Driver’s Education. He lectured and wrote on the importance of physical education, safety and accident prevention in schools and the critical issues in driver’s education.
