Biographical / Historical
Linda Loftis was Miss Texas, 1961 and runner up in the
1962 Miss America pageant. She earned a degree in vocal
performance and education from TCU, and then lived in
New York city for two years, doing commercial work. She
returned to Texas and married Toby Tobias in 1966. She
earned a master’s degree and later became the principal at
Parkview Elementary in Keller, Texas.
