Series I. Personal Papers, 1876-2000

The series includes news clips, articles, correspondence, a videotaped interview, and vital records related to Grace Halsell and her career. The series is arranged alphabetically by subject. Also included are her writings about herself and about her memories of her youth, education, and early jobs. The photographs at the end of the series are almost entirely of Grace and of her activities, including her career, books, and travels, in addition to a small group of family pictures. The photographs include Grace interviewing Clark Gable, Conrad Hilton, Errol Flynn, and President Lyndon Baines Johnson. The Harry H. Halsell material includes correspondence, news clips, drafts, journal notes, and scrapbooks.
